Creating a Wiki

Web Anonymity Wiki

Task

For this project I worked with a small group to create a comprehensive Wiki about the anonymity of the web. We conducted extensive research to understand more about the topic. We taught ourselves how to use new software to create the Wiki. I created the sitemap, assigned tasks to the other group members, and managed the group through the completion of the project.

The Take-Away

When assigning tasks to group members it is important to consider their strengths. Prior to assigning tasks, I asked each group member how adept the were at researching, writing and web design. Based on their responses I assigned tasks that suited each of them best.

Once we decided on the product we were going to make we quickly made the home screen of the app with name so that we could use it to show the other groups and test the ideas validity.
After polling we came to the conclusion that these three features were the most requested out of the ten or so that we were originally were going to offer. Due to the time restrictions we decided on just focusing on those that were most popular.

These are examples of pages that were created for the Wiki. Each page has many keyword links to other pages within the site.

This was the first sitemap that was created for the main points of our Wiki. From here we were able to figure out what information was missing and add the necessary pages with the new information.
