DeCicco & Sons Family Markets

Mobile Grocery Store Application

Task

This was a self appointed task I created for myself to create a mobile application for a local supermarket chain. I had previously worked for this company prior to earning my Masters in their IT Department, during this time the company was growing rapidly and had talked about creating a mobile application. By the time I had graduated from SUNY Oswego they had not created such an app, it is for this reason I decided to create a prototype and give it to them.

The Take-Away

To create the prototype I decided to use Adobe's new prototyping software XD which is still in beta. As I have previously worked with Axure I wanted to try a new program. When creating the prototype I had to teach myself how to use XD and how to best utilize its features. Due to it still being in Beta there were many features that were not yet implemented. I was forced to find ways to create workarounds in order to get features to work correctly

This is the User Profile page where users are able to view their information as well as previous receipts. This would also give users the ablity to send old receipts to their email for record keeping.

On the settings page users are able to modify their profile change preferred stores and enable push notifications. They are also able to view the ToS and logout of the application.
